Organized by the Sisattanak District Government, this Dragon Boat Festival marked the debut of the Wat Chomcheng village race as a district-level celebration after its upgrade from a village-level event. It also served as a key cultural activity in honor of the significant national holidays in 2025. The event, held from September 26 to 28, attracted large, enthusiastic crowds. It was attended by Mr. Sililadthongsin Thongpheng, Deputy Secretary of the Vientiane Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Phouvong Vongkhamxao, Vice Mayor of Vientiane, and relevant leaders from the Sisattanak District Government, who joined local residents in witnessing this cultural feast that blended tradition with modernity.

In addition to the traditional dragon boat races, the event featured a diverse array of activities including handicraft exhibitions and sales, ethnic song and dance performances, traditional art displays, and decorated boat competitions. These activities fully showcased the unique charm and vibrant vitality of Lao folk culture. Mr. Gong Wenzhong, Vice President of Qiancheng Group, attended the event in person to present certificates and awards to the winning dragon boat teams.
